A propósito de una lección de Gustavo Bueno sobre la idea de creencia, discutimos aquí algunas funciones ideológicas, sociológicas e interaccionales de las creencias, en particular de las religiosas. Enfatizamos, frente al análisis de Bueno, la importancia de la dimensión comunicativa e interaccional de las creencias y en particular de su afirmación pública, así como sus funciones de nexo político y social, minimizando la relevancia epistemológica de las mismas.

English Abstract: On the Notion of Belief
On the occasion of a lecture by Gustavo Bueno on the notion of belief, this paper discusses some ideological, sociological and interactional functions of beliefs, in particular religious beliefs. In contrast to Bueno's analysis, we emphasize the importance of the communicative and interactional dimension of beliefs and more particularly of their public affirmation, and the function they perform as a political and social nexus. Conversely, we minimize the epistemological relevance of beliefs.
