Retropost (29 de octubre de 2008): About finding your own voice
in academic writing—and about self-making, free Will,
Shakespeare, critical theory and much more. An excellent account of an
interview with major Shakespearean scholar Stephen Greenblatt at if/book:
"Greenblatt on Human Agency and the New Historicism".
And the future of the book. Greenblatt, too, wants to have academic
work published on the web—(but subscription-based "for the
sense
of community"—and he publishes books himself). The bit about
the
voice and professional self-making is worth reading.
