A BIBLIOGRAPHY (29th ed.)

Somewhat precariously due to some issues in the visibility of the directory, we proudly precariously present the 29th edition of A BIBLIOGRAPHY OF LITERARY THEORY, CRITICISM, AND PHILOLOGY http://bit.ly/abibliog

A BIBLIOGRAPHY, 29th edition (2024)

Bibliografía, 29ª Edición

The main problem in this edition is the unavailability of the main directory for manual search.  Therefore, it is advisable to use the automatic search through the searchbox:

- Search for any term using the searchbox (e.g. "Metaphor") - usually the first result will be the entry for "Metaphor", and the other results will provide other search results with bibliographical listings containing the word "Metaphor", in order of frequency or relevance. Clicking on any of these results will download the listing in question to your computer (as a Word file).

For manual search: do the above using any random term (e.g. "Metaphor"). You will now see other search options above the listed results of the search:

By clicking on the "index" you will access a full alphabetical index of all the words in the Bibliography (including typos!). Ignore everything but the top of the screen, where you can access a more manageable alphabetical index, beginning with the Roman alphabet:

And it is here you can click on the "m", for instance, to manually access the same file on "Metaphor"—or any other term. Please note that there are many pages for each letter of the index, and that the items on the first page are not even words, so you have to click "Next" (in small print at the bottom of the page) in order to access the actual word index.

Manual search through the index is a bit cumbersome, due to the great numer of items, but well worth using. The "Subject index" or "Name index" (Word) files which may appear as search results in the bibliography are best disregarded for manual search, until the access to the main directory is restored.

 ______

Nov. 5, 2024: All set!  The main directory's functionality is restored, and there are now two options for manual search, through the index as described above, and through the directories: the AUTHORS and SCHOOLS, directory, or the SUBJECTS directory.
