The Univalence Axiom

Stephen Wolfram on The Univalence Axiom, in rough words:

"Things which are equivalent may be considered to be identical".

—a principle at the root of mathematics (or even metamathematics), of abstraction, and of poetry and conceptual integration. Remember Samuel Johnson's joke about the metaphysical poets, "the most heterogeneous ideas are yoked by violence together."

That's what we do.
