'Never Let Me Go': El sujeto en la sociedad orgánica

Artículo sobre algunas implicaciones ideológicas y bioéticas de la película Never Let Me Go (Mark Romanek, 2010), basada en la novela de Kazuo Ishiguro. Ofrece un retrato de la sociedad como un sistema educativo manipulador, que mantiene a los niños ignorantes de las cosas más importantes que se pueden saber sobre el poder y la explotación. Al igual que en nuestro sistema educativo nunca se enseña a los niños cómo el mundo está dominado, en general, por tiranos, mafiosos, extractores de recursos, y criminales organizados, que son los que llegan a los puestos de poder—y es algo que muchos no llegan nunca a descubrir, ni por sí solos ni con ayuda.

'Never Let Me Go': The Subject in the Organic Society

A paper on some ideological and bioethical implications of the film Never Let Me Go (Mark Romanek, 2010), based on the novel by Kazuo Ishiguro. The film provides a picture of society as a manipulative educational system which keeps youngsters in ignorance of the most important things they should know about power and exploitation. Just like in our own educational system, children are never taught that the world is dominated, by and large, by tyrants, mafiosi, extractors of resources and organized criminals, who are the ones that reach powerful positions—something that many people never get to realize, neither with assistance nor on their own.
