"Social autonomy" of social movements, and "a culture of freedom"... yeah, OK. What about the other ingredient, its necessary concomitant— manipulation of the networks by privileged agents, and the simulation of such "spontaneous" dynamics? Isn't that part of the equation? Our "open society" isn't THAT open.
