La escafandra y la mariposa (2007) es una película de Julián Schnabel muy premiada, inspirada en la historia y el libro de Jean-Dominique Bauby del mismo título. Verla es experimentar (aquí por delegación) la experiencia de una vida póstuma antes de la muerte. Comentaremos aquí algunos aspectos metaficcionales que contribuyen a dar a esta película un carácter memorable en este sentido.

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly: Metafictional Aspects

English abstract: The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007) is a prize-winning film by Julian Schnabel, based on the life history of Jean-Dominique Bauby and his book of the same title. The film provides a surrogate experience of a posthumous afterlife. The present paper addresses some metafictional aspects of the film which contribute to its memorable character in this respect.
