Still Standing

Writing a nutshell bio for my ORCID record:


José Angel GARCIA LANDA. Born Biescas (Huesca), in Spain—but close to France—somewhere around the mid 20th c. I was taught languages and sciences by my father. Studied at Sabiñánigo (secondary school), then graduated in English at Zaragoza, and Brown University (MA) in Rhode Island. Came back to Zaragoza—which is where I am, for the most part. Got a PhD, got tenure, failed to get professorship. What else. Married, divorced, remarried. 3 kids. Achieved deeper insight into the nature of reality. Experienced a variety of feelings. Played the guitar under the trees, wrote hundreds of papers and bibliographies. Mostly ignored. Still standing.
